Good for you!

For my entire adult life, I’ve had to travel to others for holiday gatherings. I don’t know if this is because my husband and I don’t have kids or because that’s just the way it’s always been. Either way, I’m over 50 and only fixed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner one time and it was just for my husband and I. A couple of years ago I told my husband, every other year we’re staying home. I like to cook and think I’m pretty good at it. I will be making a traditional Thanksgiving dinner whether it’s for 2 of us or a house full.

It worked out well last year. There were only 3 of us, but it was nice. So glad I made the decision to stand up for my wishes.
