My husband and I don’t have kids. It’s a decision that we discussed before we got married and then again a few years into the marriage. It is not a decision that was made lightly. We understand and accept the consequences of this choice. Fortunately our parents have all been great about having no grandchildren from us. They even call our cats their grandcats.

Early in our marriage it did feel like I had to almost apologize to people about not having kids. I always thought that was crazy. It’s a very personal choice. Some people have such a hard time thinking outside that which is considered the norm.
